To use the drag and drop method in Microsoft Excel:

Select the cell or cells you want to move.
Place your cursor over the bottom-right corner of the selection until it changes to a "+" symbol.
Click and hold the mouse button, then drag the selection to the desired location and release the mouse button.
Note: When you drag and drop cells in Excel, the contents and formatting of the original cells will be moved to the new location, and the cells at the original location will be overwritten. To copy cells instead of moving them, hold down the Ctrl key while you drag and drop the cells.
