The House committee on appropriations has deferred the deliberations of the Office of the Vice President’s P2 billion proposed budget for 2025 amid the refusal of Vice President Sara Duterte to answer how her office uses its budget.

At one point during the discussions on the disallowance of the P73-million spending of the OVP of its confidential funds in 2022, Duterte asked the panel to replace the presiding officer, Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo, the vice chairperson of the committee.
