"I wrote "Close to You" after a heated argument with my lover about something so small. I saw myself fall into old patterns of closing off, getting angry…when really underneath all of that I just wanted to be in their arms again. I wanted to highlight the wanting for connection and intimacy with others that we all have as humans. It’s about remembering what is actually important, of not getting lost in the monotony of daily routine or the stress of the “to do” list... and the reconciliation that can happen as a result."
