For thousands of homeless people in Sao Paulo, Brazil, an already perilous situation has become dire as the population adjusts to life on the street in the age of the novel coronavirus.

At the Sao Miguel Arcanjo Church, volunteers try to help by offering squirts of hand sanitizer, but it's a small measure against a mountain of challenges facing the population.
