Russian President Vladimir Putin Invites Prime Minister Narendra Modi For Bilateral Talks On Oct 22
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 12 in St. Petersburg during the BRICS National Security Advisers’ meeting. He briefed Putin on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, which are part of ongoing efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict peacefully. In response, Putin invited PM Modi to a bilateral meeting at the BRICS summit in Kazan on October 22. According to a statement from the Russian Embassy in India, Putin sought a bilateral with PM Modi to finalise various agreements that were reached during PM Modi’s two-day visit to Moscow and to outline prospects for the near future. During their meeting, Putin also referred to PM Modi as a “good friend.”
