Dr. Rahil describes ICL as a thin lens that contains the patient's specific glasses prescription. This lens is placed inside the eye. Essentially, the power that the eye needs is replicated in the lens, which is then inserted into the eye, eliminating the need for wearing glasses externally.
In summary, Dr. Rahil discusses the two procedures available for removing glasses: laser treatment for prescriptions up to -8 diopters and ICL for prescriptions higher than -8 diopters. Laser treatment corrects vision by reshaping the cornea, while ICL involves implanting a thin lens inside the eye with the patient's prescription, eliminating the need for external glasses.
