Central Washington University undergraduates Eli Pugsley (left) and Jo Burke (right) launch a weather balloon from a pier in Wills Point, Texas, to collect information about the eclipse’s effect on the atmosphere. Along with their professor, space physicist Darci Snowden, the team from Ellensburg, Wash., were one of many teams along the path of totality taking part in NASA’s Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project.
