Measuring UV intensity of a spot-curing system is really important for maintaining the accuracy of the light-curing process. UV bulbs degrade with the use, making it important to regularly check that the system is providing the intensity and dosage levels required for successful curing.

A radiometer is used to measure UV intensity of a light-curing system. For spot lamps, readings can be taken using a lightguide simulator or at the end of the lightguide. This video demonstrates how to measure the intensity from the end of the lightguide.
