‘Sick and tired’: Bob Katter blasts ASIC
Katter’s Australian MP Bob Katter has criticised the Australian Securities and Investments Commission for sitting on their “fat backsides”.
Mr Katter’s comments come after Far North Queensland was devastated by floods.
The Australian MP raised concerns about houses not being insured due to the high cost.
“ASIC failed completely to reinforce the government action against the insurance companies,” Mr Katter told Sky News Australia.
“They sat on their fat backsides in Canberra and did nothing.
“I am very, very determined to do everything humanely possible to see the bosses of ASIC sacked.
“I’m just sick and tired of these people being paid $565 thousand a year and all he had to do was get off his backside and ensure that the benefit that the government had put out there ... flowed onto the people.”
