VAL shows you how to scroll up or down in a Linux terminal using the keyboard

First get some text on screen, I use the sudo apt upgrade command.

You can scroll up and down by pressing the shift and page up or page down button.

For line at a time scrolling in the linux terminal using the keyboard you can press control and shift plus the up arrow.

Some terminal emulators might use slightly different combinations, for example pressing Ctrl+Shift with page up or down.
