Renault turbodiesel 1.5 dCi (K9K) in production since 2001. Until about 2010, this engine was not recommended to have on your car. The motor was troublesome for two main reasons. Firstly, due to quite a problematic Delphi fuel system. Secondly, due to serious problems with connecting rod bearings and liners, which are prone to heavy wear because of way too long (about 30,000 km) European oil service intervals.
