This is an instrumental cover of the choral piece “Leave No Song Unsung” by Linda Spevacek. My choir sang it a few years ago and I fell in love with it. The melody is beautiful and captivating and the lyrics are so captivating and meaningful to me.
This has been sort of a practice project for me since I want to begin composing my own pieces soon, and I have to say that I’m pretty proud of how it turned out!
This was made by writing down each part in Noteflight, transferring the file to Finale Notepad (except for the drums), taking the sound from FN and the drums from NF and combining them in Audacity and editing it from there.
I’ve experimented with quite a few unfamiliar features in each program! I combined some Audacity Gverb and FN reverb, boosted bass and treble in each part, used the envelope tool to create dynamics, and so forth. I meant to use the tempo changer in Audacity to add some rallentandos and such, but as I learned, that’s probably better off being done with the tempo setting in the score…
Please tell me how I did! I’m always looking for advice! Even if you have no clue about audio or technical terms, at least tell me if it sounds okay to you so I can try to work on it.
I do not own the piece or any of the mentioned programs.
Hope you like it ^_^
