Billy Dib lost control against Kenichi Yamaguchi
In July 2009, Billy Dib fought Kenichi Yamaguchi for the WBO Asia Pacific featherweight title. Billy "The Kid" Dib was one of the biggest Australian names of the 2000s and 2010s. He was a talented featherweight and super lightweight fighter and had a solid 22-1 record with his only WBO world title loss against Steve Luevano. Just 9 months after that fight, he met with the Japanese fighter Kenichi “Machine Gun” Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi started his career with a draw and his record was 4-1-1 before going on a 12-fight unbeaten streak that led him to his fight with Dib.
