In this video we will be learning how to blur the background when shooting a video. We will be using the setting of Aperture to achieve this, since Aperture is what controls the depth of field (area in focus).
As shown in the video, the usage of a wider aperture (lower f-stop number) helps us in blurring the background. Do note that doing so can sometimes cause a lot of light in the camera and result in overexposure. In photography, this is easy to correct since you can always make the shutter speed faster to cut down the excess light. But in videography, the shutter speed is set according to the frame rate so you can't really change it. So you need to use a ND filter to cut down the light.
