Our emblem is the serpent, the wisest of creatures; our house colours are emerald green and silver, and our common room lies behind a concealed entrance down in the dungeons. Its windows look out into the depths of the Hogwarts lake. We often see the giant squid swooshing by — and sometimes more interesting creatures. We like to feel that our hangout has the aura of a mysterious, underwater shipwreck...
Ambitious, cunning and strong Slytherin students sleep in their dorms off the common room, in ancient four-posters with green silk hangings. During the night it is possible to listen to the lake water lapping against the windows. The walls were decorated with Slytherin crests. Medieval tapestries depicting the adventures of famous Slytherins cover the walls.
Dear traveler, no matter if you are a Slytherin or not, you were smart enough to get the password to get in. You've earned our respect. Let's sit by the giant windows and listen to the gentle breathing rhythm of the Great Lake. How soothing, how calming. Do you see the magical creatures passing by? Enjoy your stay, but keep your eyes open. With our house's history, you never know which dark wizard is going to walk in the door...
