The counseling process involves multiple steps, including registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted college. There are around 1600 MBBS and 150 BDS seats available under the state quota in Assam's medical and dental colleges. Eligible candidates must bring their original documents, including NEET scorecards, HSLC admit cards, and residence certificates, to complete the admission formalities.

The seat matrix for the 2nd round of Assam NEET 2024 counseling for MBBS and BDS courses has been released. For MBBS, the seats are distributed across several colleges like Guwahati Medical College (200 seats), Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh (200 seats), and other institutions like Silchar Medical College and Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College, each with around 125 seats. BDS seats are available in institutions like Government Dental College, Silchar (60 seats) and Government Dental College, Dibrugarh (50 seats).
The second round of counseling involves choice filling and locking, processing of seat allotments, and reporting to the allotted colleges. Candidates who were unable to participate in the first round or need to modify their options can take part in this round. The process includes seat allotment based on NEET scores and preferences.
