Microphone BM-800 on different sound cards
In search of better sound for my videos, I bought a recording kit with a very famous BM-800 microphone. This is not the original (IRS BM-800), but just a copy, which, by the way, has become much more popular than the original. With a standard connection to the microphone input, the BM-800 microphone simply cannot be used. Therefore, I decided to compare the sound quality from this microphone, using three different sound cards and phantom power. And also, to compare it with… I don’t even know what. With a microphone from a penny telephone headset. And check whether it is worth buying a microphone at all, or whether such a telephone microphone is enough, with subsequent voice processing. I will also show two ways to quickly make phantom power for a microphone.
