YouTuber MonsterLifeStlye12137 asked me to draw a Tie Dye Peace Sign. It was such an unusual request I though I'd have a go.

You Need a white china marker pencil or a white was crayon to draw the sign with. This lays down wax on the paper as a resist to the watercolour paint that you put on top.

Have fun splashing on colour. Keep the watercolour thinnish and wet so the colours can bleed into each other in that classic tie die way.

Did you know that the peace sign was invented in 1958 for the British nuclear disarmament movement by artist and designer, Gerald Holtom The symbol is a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D," standing for "nuclear disarmament"

Everyone asks about the tools I use when I'm out using my sketchbook. here's a video to show you what and how I use them.

I used a pentel china marker in the video, but I prefer the Dixon White brand - could exactly say why though! heres a link http://bit.ly/ChinaMarker
