India’s Mariyappan Thangavelu has clinched silver medal in men’s high jump T63 (combined with T42) class event. He made a jump of 1.86 meters.

Mariyappan Thangavelu is a Padma Shri and Khel Ratna awardee and suffered permanent disability in his right leg after it was crushed under a bus when he was only five years old.
