One of the most memorable songs off the album is the opening banger “Modern Slavery,” which samples Otis Redding’s “Cigarettes and Coffee.” The lyrics draw comparisons between America’s long history of slavery and the duo’s metaphorical enslavement to luxury items, while the beat gives a modern twist to the throwback sample.
