Caro-Kann Defense is considered to be one of the most solid openings in chess. If you are about to face this opening, you might expect a strong strategic battle, and not be afraid of this sentence, the game can turn out to be pretty dull.

In this video lesson, the RCA guest coach IM Mat Kolosowski will show you a couple of ideas that can be used to make things more exciting on the board. He will also show you a couple of inaccuracies or opening mistakes that you might see from your opponents, and most importantly, how to take advantage of those.

After 1.e4 c6, the classical approach is to play 2.d4 which is practically always met by 2...d5. However, there's an interesting alternative 2.Nf3, which leads to the two knights variation. This is exactly what IM Mat will be talking about in this video.
