TERMS
Conduct - to carry out or do
Data - measurements or statistics used for evidence
Evidence - anything presented to support a claim
Investigation - a searching inquiry for obtaining facts
Phenomenon - observable events in the natural world (require explanations)
Plan - create activities for something
Purpose - the reason for which something is done or created
Question - a sentence that asks for information
This progression is based on the Crosscutting Concept elements from the NRC document A Framework for K-12 Science Education. “Plan and conduct investigations collaboratively to produce evidence to answer a question and make observations to collect data which can be used to make comparisons.”
