However, Casey's landlord discovered the alligator in the bathroom and reported it to the authorities. Keeping alligators as pets is prohibited, and the animal control department came to take Catfish away. Despite Casey's love for his pet, he had to say goodbye, and Catfish was taken to a center for exotic animals under the supervision of specialists. The story highlights the differences in people's love for animals and their perception of exotic pets.
