Why Every Website Needs a CDN | Improve Website Performance | What is CDN
In this video, I have discussed about the CDN, what is CDN, how does it work, what are benefits of using CDN. You can improve your website performance with CDN.
What is CDN?
A CDN, or Content Delivery Network, is a group of servers spread out across different places around the world. These servers work together to deliver internet content quickly and reliably to users, no matter where they are.
How Does CDN Work?
A CDN works by storing copies of website content on multiple servers in different locations, called "points of presence" (PoPs). When you request a website, the CDN directs your request to the nearest server that has the content you need.
Here’s a simple breakdown:
*User Request*: You type a web address in your browser.
Nearest Server: The CDN finds the closest server to your location.
*Content Delivery*: The nearest server sends the content to your browser.
*Fast Loading*: Because the content comes from a nearby server, the website loads faster.
