Hi everybody, here is a speed run of how I placed a person on a Mars-looking background, for a recent music video. All using Blender 2.8 and its built-in render engine Eevee.
This shot was actually quite easy, so if you'd like me to do a proper tutorial on how to achieve a shot like this, make sure to let me know in the comments, so I can make one! 😃
How I made it:
The green screen removal was done in After Effect, then exported with an alpha channel and placed as a plane in Blender. Then in Blender, I used a few more planes with noise textures, fiddled with the settings until I achieved the look I had in mind. And finally, I animated a camera, rendered it, imported it back into After Effects for the cosmetic touches (colour correction, lens distortion, grain, etc)
