'Sad': American people electing people based on 'race and gender'
Comedian Alex Stein says its “sad” that instead of being a “meritocracy”, the US is electing people based on “race and gender”.
Kamala Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2024 US presidential elections.
“That where we’re at – we are electing people based on their race and gender,” Mr Stein told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“Instead of being a meritocracy, based on their record of being successful.
“It’s really sad.”
