Keeper One-Time Share provides time-limited, secure sharing of a record to anyone, even if they don’t have a Keeper account. One-Time Share is the most secure way to send confidential information to a friend, family member or co-worker without exposing sensitive information in plain text over email, text message or messaging.
To share a record using One-Time Share, select the record you would like to share from your Keeper Vault. Click the record’s options icon and select One-Time Share. Next, click Create a One-Time Share to generate the share link. You will then be asked to select when the share link will expire. The duration defaults to one hour and is limited to a maximum of one-hundred and eighty days. Once you’ve made your selection, click Create Link. You can either copy the link to quickly send the share or, to provide the recipient with more detailed instructions, click Copy Invite from the “Invite” tab to paste the information into an email, SMS, chat app, or any other out-of-band channel.
The recipient of a One-Time Share simply clicks on the provided link and is instantly presented with the shared record in their web browser. Access will automatically expire after the set amount of time and is bound to their device.
Existing One-Time Shares of the selected record can be managed in the One-Time Share screen which will display active and expired shares. Additionally, you can delete an existing one-time share at any time, thus disabling the share link.
One-Time Shares utilize Keeper's Zero-Knowledge encryption technology, so they’re secure by design. To learn about our encryption model, visit the link in the description below.
