In February 2022, artist Suzanne Bocanegra presented Honor, a stage work that masqueraded as an artist lecture about one of The Met's most important 16th-century tapestries. The show, which featured acclaimed actress Lili Taylor, wove together Bocanegra's personal narrative and her deep obsession with the colossal tapestry, revealing a multitude of rich characters in the work's ornate fabric.

Now, to celebrate the digital premiere of Honor, join Bocanegra, Taylor, and The Met's Lulu C. and Anthony W. Wang General Manager for Live Arts for a special discussion about the work's origins, process, and lasting legacy.

Honor was commissioned by MetLiveArts. This program was made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts, with additional funding from the General Delegation of the Government of Flanders to the USA.

Recorded at the World Premiere on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium
