Growing up, I was surrounded by so much horror/scary media it almost felt second nature to expect that any video I'd be watching on the internet would feature a jumpscare or something along those lines. Recollecting, I was scared by some really strange things on YouTube... but at least I wasn't alone! Most of my generation, Gen Z has had a similar experience to me. So let me share some of my personal experiences with digital horror.
