Nina Kosaka - Yume No Dead End (Symphonic Metal Remix)
July is once again proving to be a cursed month for Vtubing -- of all the graduation announcements in recent memory, Nina's hit me the hardest. She was one of the NijiEN members who introduced me to the whole branch, and I really am going to miss her once the time eventually comes. Much like with Sana last year, I felt it was necessary to cover one of her songs as a tribute. Nina has said this song's about finding hope in difficult times, so it feels especially relevant.
I'm trying out yet another new subgenre this time; this is my first proper foray into symphonic metal. Luckily it's not super unfamiliar for me, as I've written strings sections for songs in the past. I didn't go all in with the orchestration like Metallica's S&M or anything like that, mores to the degree of bands like Nightwish or Delain, whose styles fit this song well.
