Viperconcept's Racing Games chart (Episode 8)
Here's the 8th episode of my chart with new and old games. Enjoy!
Now, I know some won't agree about the position of some games (it's a subjective chart afterall), but I spent a lot of time evaluating the games I've played, and this chart configuration is the result of my effort.
I don't consider the age of the games to show better the evolution of a series (ex. GT4 - GT5 - GT6 - GTSport).
Physics: I consider:
Tyres model
Weight transfer / Gravity
Driving difference between the cars
Suspension model
Single/multiple surface grip
Setup influence.
Graphics: I consider:
Polygon number
Light effects
Aliasing presence
Dust/smoke
Day/Night/weather
Palette colors
Reflections on the cars
Background distance and quality.
All these aspects have different impact on my evaluation.
