When Peter saw Jesus walking on water, as described in the Bible in Matthew 14:25-33, his faith prompted him to ask Jesus to invite him to walk on water, too. But as the storm became more violent, Peter’s faith faltered and he began to sink, calling out “Lord, save me.”
