How to connect the Roland SP404 to any DAW for insane possibilities!
The Roland SP-404 mkII is an amazing music production tool that integrates seamlessly with any digital audio workstations like Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, FL Studio, or any other DAW. It uses quick connections in the audio settings of the software to pass audio back and forth between the computer and the device seamlessly.
When connecting to the SP-404, make sure you use the EXT IN button on the device in order to hear audio from your DAW going into the 404. When recording to a sample pad, hit REC and then select the empty pad to record to. As soon as you start playing the audio in your DAW, the 404 will start recording. Then press REC again to stop the recording.
