In this video I make a thorough defense of the new flight model, called master modes, and I do my best to explain why it overall is very good for Star Citizen, and very bad for the people who are trying to convince you it is not.
Master Modes, in essence, creates a game where the tired, inaccessible lunatic-attracting light fighter meta is given a check, and this has upset some people. These people are an overwhelmingly vocal, overwhelmingly miniscule portion of the community. What it does do is takes these people who win 10/10 fights due to eldritch knowledge of things like tricording, and ensures they only win 7/10 times, because it allows pilots working together, or pilots in larger ships to apply teamwork and coordination to deal with them. It also makes the flight model far more intuitive and understandable for newer players -- newer players who might beat these lunatics in a fight. Naturally this means master modes is bad and has to be prevented at all costs.
