Aegean Airlines LGAV - KAUS (Freewing AL37 maiden!)
A totally fictional @aegeanairlinesvideo Boeing 737 ("SX-KAT" aka "Leonidion") operating as flight A3512 from Athens (LGAV @ATHairport to Austin, Texas (KAUS). Mostly taxiing in this video, actually :)
Since we can't travel, it was really fun to make an aviation-themed video out of an R/C airliner maiden flight - a Freewing AL37 project - to remember the places we will travel to when we all can again.
Decals by Callie Graphics. Fake engine sounds from the simulator (Prepar3D/PMDG). LGAV and KAUS ATC interspersed with terrible renditions of Greek pilot and ATC audio by me. Background music Professional Sinnerz - Psila Apogeiosou. Excellent footage of Eleftherios Venizelos airport ( • Aegean – Ένα μικρό, ελάχιστο ευχαριστώ ) and safety video introduction ( • AEGEAN Νέο Safety Video με πρωταγωνισ... ) by Aegean. Static model, non-R/C scenes were filmed with special 'aircraft-grade kitchen twine' for towing (and coordinated with the FBO). The control tower featured is from the former Robert Mueller Municipal Airport in Austin! Maiden flight scenes and photos from the Austin Radio Control Association R/C field.
"Speedbird 190 Heavy" makes an appearance at the end while crossing the runway 17L threshold at KAUS (one of the many prepandemic European routes - EGLL, EGKK, EDDF, EHAM - to KAUS that have been suspended).
