In order to make herring he salad, we need:
Frozen herring - 4 pieces
Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons
Onions - 3 heads
Carrots - 4 pieces
Garlic - 4-5 cloves
Vinegar 9% - 200 ml
Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
Soy sauce - 5 tablespoons
Salt and pepper to taste.
How to make herring heh at home:
1. Take fresh herring, remove skin, remove bones.
2. Cut the finished fillet into small pieces.
3. Put the herring fillets cut into pieces in an enamel bowl and cover with a glass of 9% vinegar. Stir everything and let stand for 20 to 30 minutes.
4. Rub the peeled carrots into strips on a Korean grater. Season with a little salt. Cut the onions into half rings.
5. Combine: onions, carrots, crushed garlic, sesame seeds, vegetable oil, soy sauce and mix everything.
6. Throw the herring pickled in vinegar on a sieve, let the liquid drain completely.
7. Add the herring to the carrots and mix everything. Put in the refrigerator for 2 hours (you can also overnight) to cool and infuse.
Herring heh is ready, you can serve it to the table.
