THE CONSTIPATION SONG
Constipation!
Stops excretion!
If you have bowel movements less than thrice a week,
And stool’s tough to pass with a hard and dry physique!
You try in vain!
You strain, have pain!
Without the gain!
Yet poops remain!
A full feeling endures!
And gas matures!
Stool goes through the colon and water gets absorbed! As time passes,
You get progressively harder, drier, and lumpier masses!
Over time, this can spur,
Some stretching to occur!
Nerves may not sense the urge,
For rectal purge!
A few factors cause this struggle!
Not enough water spells trouble!
A diet lacking what you require,
Soluble and insoluble fiber!
These join with stool and increase,
Its weight, size, and softness for release!
So poop’s easier to pass,
Through the rectum without an impasse! YES!!!
Constipation also!
Can result from travel so you know!
Lack of exercise or from stress!
Or when your routine is a mess!
Or thanks to regular delay,
When poop urges come into play!
Medication!
Impregnation!
A condition!
Poor nutrition!
Or laxative overuse!
Old age or hormone issues!
See a doctor, for bloody poops,
Persistent pain, or trapped gas, oops!
For vomiting, fever, or strange weight loss events!
Or sudden change in bowel movements!
So care for your gut and hydrate!
Have lots of fiber on your plate!
Please don’t ignore the urge to go, and get enough exercise so,
That your gut stays healthy and constipation does not happen, yo!
