In todays 3D printing Thursday video we'll discuss how you can import in mesh files, like a 3D scan or printable file, into SOLIDWORKS for editing.
One of the most important processes of any printing workflow is ensuring your files can adhere to the print bed and will have good geometry to successfully print. Using SOLIDWORKS Mesh modeling tools we can remove parts of mesh files to give them a flat underside or delete unnecessary data and add in new features that are easier to print.
If you would like to download the wrench file used at the end of the video to follow along you can do so via Artec's 3D example models here: artec3d.com/3d-models/adjusting-lever
