Hezbollah would be making an ‘awful miscalculation’ if it goes to war with Israel
Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge discusses whether Israel’s defence will be able to fight both Hamas and Hezbollah at the same time if the need arises.
“I think the Israeli military is able to put most of its effort into fighting Hezbollah on the Lebanon border and inside Lebanon,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“It has got to the stage with the conflict in Gaza and Hamas where it can pretty much have a smaller force doing a holding action there.
“So far, they have been acting as if they can keep poking the Israelis, causing indiscriminate death … I think they could well turn out to be an awful miscalculation.”
