Matt: G'day, my name's Matt and welcome to Big Review TV. Now, on this week's episode of "Big Escapes," grab your cutlery because we're taking you on a taste of the world tour. In this edition, we're seeing what Sydney's serving up. Join me as my food journey takes me from India to France, with a stopover in Northern Africa.

First up, though, is the Sultan's Table whose chef lovingly create traditional Turkish dishes with centuries-old ingredients, whilst paying homage to the cooking methods of their ancestors.

So, I've just arrived at the Sultan's Table here on Enmore Road. I've read the reviews about this Turkish cuisine and it's meant to be amazing. So, come inside and join me at the table.

Yavuz: My name's Yavuz and I am one of the principle partners of The Sultan's Table, which is one of the most popular Turkish restaurants in Sydney, and we are very proud of that.

My menu is traditional, and we are using all the ingredients which are used for centuries in Turkish kitchen. And some of the knowledge of preparation comes from our ancestors and from our mothers and grandmothers. We would like to give the public the real taste of Turkish food.

No global food journey would be complete without a taste of India, and Masala Theory in Surry Hills does not disappoint.

There are a lot of good Indian restaurants in Sydney, but they didn't have the character, the fun element to it, the hip element to it. Masala Theory was born because of the fact that we wanted something which was hip, funky, and we wanted people to get a feel of that as well.

The feel of the restaurant is very colorful, it's very vibrant, it's very young, and people like the whole culture to it.

The Masala Theory menu has a very modern and funky twist on some classic Indian dishes. The signature dish here in front of me, the curry balls, fried dumpling shell with diced chicken and a rich, velvety, tomato-based curry, which you spoon inside and...mm.

The recipes that we have here are very traditional, but all we are again doing is traditional recipes, we are putting it forward in a very hip, and funky, and a contemporary manner.

Masala Theory neo-Indian food, the experience was a great one. Delicious, rich curries, beautiful dishes, and the service, spectacular. If you want to visit these guys, you'll find them in Surry Hills on Crown Street. I'll see you soon.

At Loluk Bistro in Surry Hills, exquisite French cuisine mingles with fine dining.

A classic, provincial French restaurant here in Sydney city, and I must say, I'm looking forward to classic French homestyle cooking and a beautiful pairing of wine.

We're from Nice, we're from Provence, born and raised in Nice. Our grandmother used to cook a lot for us and my other family, and we wanted to bring kind of her recipe into Sydney.

Now, the dish I've gone with from Loluk Bistro's menu is the duck breast and provincial gnocchi, and can I say it is excellent. The gnocchi itself is soft and velvety, the duck breast cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly. Another spectacular dish off a wonderful menu.
