Hello Friends,
I am Saqib Ali, Welcome to my Youtube Channel SA Electric Tech.

About This Video:-

Thermocouple VS RTD

A thermocouple is a temperature measuring sensor. Two different types of metal wires are connected at a junction which is called the thermal junction. To measure temperature at any point, this thermal junction is subjected to that point which develops a thermal gradient or change in temperature at this junction.

Thermocouple Types: Type J, Type K, Type N, Type T, Type E, Type R, Type S, Type B, Type C.

RTD sensor to be used is determined by the environment where it will be used and the application. The use of resistance temperature sensors began in the middle of the first industrial revolution, and they were assembled using copper wire and a galvanometer.

RTD types are platinum, nickel, and copper RTDs. Platinum RTDs are the most commonly used type of RTD, followed by nickel and copper RTDs. RTDs are also available in different tolerance classes, with Class A and Class B being the most commonly used classes.
