Lukashenko on attack on Kursk, air targets in Belarus, escalation: Ukraine not ready for peace
During his working trip to the Shklov District on August 10th, 2024, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko commented on the violation of Belarus’ airspace by Ukraine on August 9th
"It is unpleasant that Ukrainians – and I have warned you more than once – are showing in this way that they are not ready for peace and continuing to escalate this tension. Two days ago, there was an attack in the Kursk direction, they have advanced several tens of kilometres — around 30-35 by now – into the depth of the territory. They are trenching around there. Now we see this provocation aimed at hitting the Russian Federation," the Belarusian leader stated.
