Twitch Adds Gif Emotes, Follower Emotes, And Library Emotes
Twitch adds gif emotes finally! A new way to engage with chat with cute, cool emotes that move! If you can't afford to subscribe to streamers to get their emotes, well Twitch is going to add a "Follower Emotes" feature, where you get to use the streamer's emote free in their own chat! Which means, you can't use those emotes elsewhere. As for "Library Emotes", it's a fast way to switch between, instead of re-uploading them to your Twitch emote slots. Now you can switch them fast and easy!
Does this mean we no longer need BTTV or FFZ? For those who don't know, BTTV and FFZ are Google extensions you can install free! These extensions allow viewers to use your uploaded emotes in BTTV and FFZ to use free in your own Twitch chat! Not only that, but there are cool features you can use with these extensions, such as adding the "host" button, hiding recommended channels, changing the color theme of your Twitch, changing the menu emote hud etc. My answer is: No. The "Follower Emotes" feature doesn't replace BTTV and FFZ as these extensions give you a TON of emotes, and a TON of customizable features that frequently get updates! I recommend still keeping them, as Twitch updates keep arising!
