For Jorge Luis Borges, poetry was not a minor issue, but comparable to the deepest feelings that a human being can experience... And he knew how to explore it in memorable collections, starting with 'Fervor de Buenos Aires' and continuing with 'The Maker'. ' (1960), 'The Other, the Same' (1964), 'Praise of the Shadow' (1969), 'The Deep Rose' (1975) or 'The Cipher' (1981), among other volumes. A leafy production in verse from which, in this report, we extract for reproduction only three poems that - almost arbitrarily - we consider the best of the Argentine writer, recited by himself.
